Folks:

1. Motion to nominate Willow Jacobson for the SOG School of Government Teaching Excellence Award.

2. All in favor, please say “aye”.

3. If there are enough, 51% of class roll, we can say that “the LGFCU class of 2015 nominates Willow.”

Hey all – did you happen to see this award nomination today? What do you think about jointly nominating Willow? I think it would be well deserved.

Importance: High

Every two years, the UNC School of Government awards the Albert and Gladys Hall Coates Teaching Excellence Award to a deserving faculty member at the School of Government. We have now begun the process for 2017-2019 term award. Attached is a link to information about the award and the online nomination form. We encourage you to consider nominating any instructor from the School of Government that you believe deserves the honor. The information includes those faculty members who are NOT eligible due to being past award winner.

The deadline for nominations is November 1, 2016. Please consider participating in this process. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact Greg Allison or Cheryl Howell (co-chairs of teaching development committee).

Here is the link to information about the award and to the online nomination form that is now posted on the School’s homepage:
