[TRITLA] Verizon Service

We went through the reporting process in January where we reported numerous calls, numbers, locations, and times. We received form letter e-mail responses. Some of them said to turn on WiFi calling for fringe areas, some of them said to turn off WiFi calling because transitioning from WiFi to a cellular call would cause a drop. Not once did they offer any information as to tuning the towers, equipment being upgraded, etc. We just got the boiler plate “Thank you for contacting Verizon, please try these things.” and “Thank you for contacting Verizon, please try these things that are completely the opposite of what we told you to do previously.” Queue Epic Facepalm.

Thanks,

Kevin,
We meet with our Verizon rep yesterday about reports of dropped calls in areas that had service in the past. We were able to narrow it down to a couple areas where towers had been upgraded from old technology and he asked me to make sure LTE was turned on for Voice and Data. I made the change on one of our deputies phones and it helped in an area that he had reported calls being dropped. We also had an area that we recently reported for dropped calls and it turns out they adjusted the antenna because the overlap between towers caused a dead area directly in line with a major highway. As mentioned before he asked that we report areas with issues and time of day so they can continue to try to improve the network.
Thanks,
Derek

For those of you on Verizon for cell phone service, have you had any issues with dropped, missed, and straight to voicemail calls over the past 6 months or so? Our service up here in the borderlands has been significantly degraded.

Thanks,
