I had our AV expert review the quotes and here is what he said:
I reviewed the quotes and the one from Unified seems to be more thought out and professional. We use some of the same equipment in the council chamber for our audio system and it’s been bulletproof for years. Their quote seems a little high on the installation charge at over $6K, but equipment prices are reasonable. Their approach sounds more comprehensive and would probably yield better results than Camcor.
I’m not sure why Camcor would quote only one pendant speaker for the room, but I’ve never seen the room. It seems like having only one speaker would limit the audio coverage and may lower the overall volume. Their quote takes a very basic approach to audio support, providing only the bare minimum equipment to amplify the audio.
Another idea is to get a third quote. Clark-Powell, located in Winston Salem, is an A/V company we’ve used over the years. They provide excellent sales and service and are the region’s largest A/V seller and installer.

Basically, we are looking at improving our audio and maybe visual displays in our council chambers. I just can't determine what is a need versus bells/whistles.
